Rosie Miller
On this Transfiguration of Our Lord, March 6, we began with the Bible readings as follows:
Exodus 24:12-18, Psalm 2 and the New Testament 2 Peter 1:16-21, Gospel: Matthew.
Our lector was Laura Wittorff.
Pastor Wayne Strohschein’s sermon today was based on the lesson from Matthew 17:1-9, there is an image in the text that is powerful: the image of a mountain top. The disciples were reminded here just who Jesus was -
God’s Beloved Son. That experience of being witness to Jesus’ transfiguration carried them through what lay ahead. What experience do we have that will carry us through our difficult times? May God bless you with an
experience that will enable you to be his passionate servant in everyday life and living.
