Today’s sermon by Bro. Rick Batten came from I Kings 11. “Solomon turned away from God.”
God should become greater in our lives as we age. As we grow older, worldly things become less valuable. Solomon left God behind and his end was a tragedy. When Solomon first became king, he prayed for an understanding heart, and God promised to bless him and his kingdom.
Solomon was a man of great wisdom, and he shouldn’t have allowed his 700 wives and princesses and 300 concubines to bring in idols in the beginning. Solomon’s life can be compared to a fall from a large building. Bro. Rick ended by saying to each of us to look at our whole life. Are we getting closer or farther away from God? Remember Movie Night next Sunday, March 13 at 6:30 p.m. Bring a friend.
