The 2011 election winners for terms on the MU Douglas County Extension Council will be sworn into office during Extension’s Annual Meeting on March 10, at 7 p.m. The meeting will be held in the basement meeting room located in the Douglas County Courthouse.
Persons elected to the Extension council are:
Misty Jordan, Annette Stillings, Brad Creech, John Unger and Dean Downs.
Every county in Missouri has a publicly elected Extension Council and elections. County Extension Councils (mandated by state statutes) are the governing body for local educational opportunities provided by University of Missouri Extension.
Council members work with Extension faculty in making decisions concerning Extension programs, personnel, council elections and the local Extension budget.
