The South Central Ozarks Manufacturer’s Association (SCOMA) will have a special meeting in the community room at Howell-Oregon Electric at West Plains on March 22, at 1 p.m.
A panel of local manufacturers will speak at this meeting about concerns, interests, and topics of interest for those in the manufacturing industry.
SCOMA is a newly-formed organization of local manufacturers and associates. People in the south central Ozarks communities who are interested in manufacturing networking and information are invited to attend.
If you manufacture goods, are a community leader, sell supplies to manufacturers and are interested in more jobs to come to this area, please plan to attend this meeting.
A panel of local people with knowledge of manufacturing and its history will be available for questions and for commentary.
Lou Wehmer and Edsel Smith will discuss the history of the area and how manufacturing has evolved in the Ozarks. Johnnie Murrell from the South Central Ozarks Council of Governments will also be on the panel.
