Sunday morning service was opened with prayer requests and prayer. Brother Bill and Sister DeDe Arington and Brother Randy and Sister Venita Brummet led the praise songs and welcome service.
Brother Roberts brought the morning message from Malachi 3:8-10, “Stewardship Of Our Money.”
There were several people out with sickness and we are praying for their soon recovery.
Sunday evening was our 4th Sunday night singing. We enjoyed lots of good music and songs.
Nora Edwards visited, during the week, with Doyne Huffman, Alexis Swearengin, Jacinda Sheppard, Raymond and Naida Haden, Miranda Milligan and Shawn Swearengin. Visiting with Bob and Nora Edwards on Sunday were Toby and Jacinda Sheppard, Kendra and Shelden Walker.
Delmar and I went shopping on Monday and stopped by Lambert’s for lunch and ate way too much. We later stopped by and visited with Keith and Donna Bannister and did some pretty fancy bowling. It was a fun time to spend for my 70th birthday.
On Saturday, my three daughters hosted a birthday party for me and surprised me with some out-of-state family who came to help celebrate. I truly am blessed with a loving family, even my ornery brother, Vern Deatherage, love you brother and appreciate you for the picture in last week’s paper.
Delmar and I were surprised with a visit from my cousin, Preston Breshears, from Rosie, Arkansas, on Monday. Also, Jack and Barb Breshears.
I was blessed with the opportunity to baby-sit with two beautiful little dolls on Friday morning. Miley and Mahayla Hamby are such a joy to have as neighbors, along with their siblings and mamma and daddy, grandma and grandpa too. We have such wonderful neighbors. We love and appreciate them all.
I heard through-the-grapevine that we are getting some new neighbors on the other side and that they will be bringing a new baby into the neighborhood in September. We love having new babies around. It helps to keep us young.
Until next week, enjoy the weather changes as they come along.
