Oak Grove wk. 23

Church business elsewhere caused the pastor to be in services south of the border this last Lord’s Day (the Arkansas/Missouri borader that is), so Brother Ray Dobbs graciously came and brought a message from the story of the blind Bartimeus, at the end of the tenth chapter of Mark. Before we entered a personal relationship with our Redeemer and Lord Jesus, we all suffered from “spiritual blindness” for which He is the only cure.

One of our missionaries to the Philippines, the Pastor of Liberty Bible Baptist Church, in Baguio City, Bro. Rodolfo Olesio came to give a missions report and gave the evening message as well. His text was from Luke 19:13-27, the parable of the ten pounds. We are given the charge to “occupy” until He comes.

Bro. Olesio stressed the need to be busy doing our best for Him, in whatever mission field God places us. The mission work that Bro. Olesio has been working in for the past 16 years has established eleven new mission churches in the past eleven years. It is wonderful to see the result of the seeds of the gospel we have helped plant there.

And, lest I forget, we still have a seat for you, please come and join us as we worship the Lord. He is indeed worthy to be praised.
