Feb. 23 – Caney came together Wednesday evening by singing. Bro. Jeff Shipley took charge of the service taking prayer requests and praise reports. Sisl Charlotte Roberts led our hearts in prayer. Jeff read II Peter 2:1-4, I Peter 2:1-4, stay in the word don’t be led astray by false teachers. Be content. He also read I Timothy 6:1-6 and Romans 8:6, don’t think earthly riches is godliness. Heavenly riches is eternal life and peace of mind. It was a great lesson.
Sunday school began with singing. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone to service. Prayer requests were taken for the lost, sick, our nation, military, and the bereaved. Bro. Bobby Combs led our hearts in prayer. Jack read Isaiah 2:5-10 for our devotiion.
After Sunday school, happy birthday was sung to Jack Essary. God bless him. Sis. Melba Austin led our little ones in song. Jeff Shipley gave a testimony.
Praise and Worship began with singing. Laurena Mitchell, Charlotte Roberts, Jim Lafferty and Melissa Harmon all sang specials. Bro. Bill Austin spoke from Matthew 25:1-13. Let’s be wise believers, let’s always be ready for Christ’s return, be good witnesses to others, encourage them to be ready. Do you have the Spirit of the Lord living in you? You won’t make Heaven if you don’t. Service ended with singing. It was a spirit filled service.

Pastor Bill spoke from Matthew 25:14-16 and 28-29. Use the talent you have for the glory of God, you will be blessed. Little is much when God is in it. Use your talent or you will lose it.
