The Ava Area Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for the John N. Dickison Award and the Will McFarlin Award, to be presented at the annual Membership Banquet on April 2.
The John N. Dickison Award is given each year by the Chamber of Commerce in recognition of a citizen of Douglas County who has given a lifetime of community service, volunteerism, and dedication to our community.
The Will McFarlin Award is also an award given by the Ava Area Chamber of Commerce to an outstanding youth who has shown community service, volunteerism, and dedication to the community.
If you know of an individual who fits one of these descriptions, write a letter of nomination to the Chamber of Commerce and tell why you think that individual deserves to be recognized.

The deadline for nominations is March 10.
