Arno wk. 23

Bonnie Phipps said she got out and went to church Sunday, but didn’t get out last week to do anything.

Last Monday I received one and a half tenths of an inch of rain and on Wednesday I received another four-tenths of an inch of rain. On Thursday I had a total of  one and one third of an inch of rain.

Mark came by last Monday morning while he was in town and visited with me.

Mary Long came by that evening and picked up the book to the television that she picked up for another lady.

Last Monday night was our O.E.S. meeting night here in Ava and I drove in and Carol Moore went by and picked Marie Dickey up and brought her in later.

Kay came by and picked up my news last Tuesday.

Mark came by and brought me some eggs Wednesday and that evening Violet Blakey came by on her way home and picked up her eggs.

Carol Moore, Marie Dickey, Pat Miller, Doris Morrison, Hellen Blakey, Connie Bacorn, Tom and Mary Martha Williams all attended the Official School of Inspection and Instruction of the 28th District in the afternoon.

The meal was served at 2 and the meeting started at 3. It was a wonderful get together, but we sure missed Jerry and Mary Beth Marsh and our prayers are with both of them.

Some of the Grand Officers went home with Tom and Mary Martha Williams and stayed until Saturday.

The 23rd District had their Official School of Instruction and Inspection Friday night and those there from the Ava Chapter were Pat Miller, Marie Dickey, Doris Morrison, Hellen Blakey, Tom and Mary Martha Williams, Connie Bacorn, Shirley Emerson, Karen Heriford, Carolyn Wallace, Carol Moore and Charles Murray, who is a dual member.

There was a total of 102 there for the meeting.

Lakota Blakey and her dog, Fat Girl, came Friday evening and spent the weekend with me and then James and Kristie came Sunday evening and picked them up.

Donna Nichols came by Saturday evening and picked up Mae Cox’s eggs.

It was good to have my Lakota with me. She doesn’t come that much any more since she is in ballgames.

There wasn’t very many at church Sunday night, but we had good singing and good food later.

Lets keep all our sick folks in our prayers because there are lots out there.

My prayer and sympathy go out to all who have lost a loved one.

Lets keep praying for our leaders and the men and women in the service and their families and the ones in training. Landon and Donna Fleetwood were in Ava Saturday and Donna dropped by for a while and visited with me.
