After a break in the weather, our congregation was glad to be back Sunday morning. We had a good Sunday school lesson and continued to pray for the many, many needs of our church families, nation and community.
Brother Dennis’s thought Sunday morning was from Matthew 14:21, feeding the 5 thousand, a lesson on faith.
We were especially glad to have Sister Mae Cox able to drive herself to church and fill her regular pew, we have missed her. Mae’s visitors last week were Lisa Johnson and Jesse, Tom and Donna Nichols. Mae always gets calls from her family, near and far, checking up on her.
Those visiting recently with Bessie Hall were Judy Haden, Jewell Elliott, Lisa Johnson and Jesse. Bessie got a good report from her doctor last week, good news.
Visiting with Tom and Jewell Elliott Saturday was David Coonts and Sue Davis. Shaun and LeAnna Elliott and children visited Friday night and James Elliott Monday evening.
Bonita Winingham arrived from her home in Louisville, Nebraska late Sunday afternoon to spend the week with her parents, Tom and Jewell Elliott, and other relatives in the area.
Tom and Jewell Elliott and their family attended funeral services Tuesday in Gainesville for Tom’s brother-in-law, Bob Ellison.
Bonita Winingham accompanied her parents, Tom and Jewell, to St. Louis for Tom’s yearly checkup, Wednesday.
Martin Hathcock visited Thursday with Harold and Kay Hutchison.
Wes Smith, Brandon and Summar Hathcock and children, visited with Martin and Mary Ann Hathcock one day last week.
Harold and Kay Hutchison attended the Grizzlies basketball game in West Plains last Saturday night and also, Tuesday evening. Morgan and Dylan Clements accompanied them Saturday evening and visited in the home of Harlin and Shirley Hutchison and family before the game. Dylan and Morgan also attended the game Tuesday evening, along with their friend, Zack Dixon.
