The February 17 meeting was held at Vaught’s Restaurant with ten members present. They were: Edith McKinnon, Maxine Smith, Mary Ann Niemi, Amy Galyardt, Alice Hurley, Katie Hoverson, Karen N. Davis, Ruth Taylor, Lynn Bentele and Linnie Ingram.
Minutes of our December meeting were read.
Our January meeting was cancelled because of weather. Treasurer’s report was by Maxine. The Sunshine report by Linnie. Continue to save Best Choice labels. A discussion of 2011 programs was held. The nominating committee announced their selection of 2011 officers and it was approved by a vote of members. Our new president is Karen N. Davis; vice-president, Ruth Taylor; secretary, Alice Hurley; and treasurer, Lily Branco and card chairman and reporter, Linnie Ingram.
We will be helping at the quilt display at the Historium building. Our scrapbook is needing more autobiographies in it. We presented our quilter, Katie Hoverson with a gift for her work. March 7 is Council meeting at 9:30 a.m. at the Senior Center, to plan for DOW meeting April 19 here.
Jeff Nash, presented a “Relay For Life” program for us at 11 a.m.
March 17 meeting will be hosted by Karen N. Davis at a place of her choice.
