Gentryville

This is a beautiful, calm, cool morning this Tuesday. Although I do hope we get more rain this week. It was 22 degress this morning.

I rode the Oats bus into Ava last Monday and got my protime test. I always enjoy riding the bus and visiting with Paulette, the driver.

Last Wednesdy night Ann Collins fixed a birthday supper for Ted Collins (his birthday was Monday the 14th) for the following: Agnes Williams, Ella May Daughterty, Karen Frederick, Bertha and Dean Scherer, Melissa, Autumn, Brian and Blaine Collins and Darren Causey and Ted and Karen Collins.

We lost a good friend and neighbor this past Saturday, Lyle Luellen passed away. Before he got sick, he was an active member of EDCVFD and a first responder.

My sympathy to his family and also to the Earl Fleetwood and Kenneth Driskell families and to Ruby (Berry) Adams. I saw in the Herald where she had lost her husband.

Bertha and Dean Scherer visited their friend, Shiela in West Plains Saturday. They (Bertha and Dean) are dog sitting River’s little dog Snippet as she was called to Washington, D.C. due to her grandmother’s passing.

There was 20 in attendance at Prior Sunday. Ginger Burch gave a birthday offering and it was good to have Oscar Belle and Willie back with us. Willie sang a special.

Our pastor, Dwayne Sparks, had an accident with some deer Saturday. He came out of it unharmed, but think it totaled his pickup.

Ann Collins and Ella May Daughtery visited a while Sunday evening with Agnes Williams, then Janet Smith also visited with her later Sunday evening.

Until next time, God bless and be kind to everyone.
