I guess we’re all back to cold weather again, but spring is just around the corner. I cleaned a little in a flowerbed because the easter lilies are getting ready to bloom.
We are quilting today and enjoyed eating lunch out today. We appreciate Kathleen Sparks for the new material she gave us for quilting. We appreciate our girls that come every week. We want to help anyone that needs the quilts. Call me if you do – 683-3241.
We want to say happy birthday to Sandy Short her mom, Evelina said today was her birthday.
My sister that died last year in California, last week was her birthday. Also the late Sis. Marie Long had a birthday, as did Sierra Sharp who I believe was 18 years old. I think Sis. Marie was 92 this year.
Glad for our visitors from Oldfield last Sunday and our special songs Sunday morning and Sunday night and we enjoyed our congregational singing too.
Bro. Benny Dewitt’s message was from Exodus 34 and Job 1:1-22 and John 15: 13 titled “Trust God And Sin Not.” Sunday night Sis. Loretta prached from Joshua 5:13-15 amd 6:1-5 and titled “Church Without Walls” saying God is looking for our availibility. We’re thankful for our good pastors and the ones we’ve had before them.
We’ve had several prayer requests and we want to not forget to pray for them. Sis. Norma Frye is very much in need of prayer there at Mtn. Grove as are the Heinleins. We got a call toay that Sis. Barbara Barnes had passed away. She used to come here to church. I will probably find out more this afternoon about the service and when it will be.
Sis. Barbara Chance and I started doing the water aerobics at the Y in Seymour and are enjoying that somewhat. We found out our medicare insurance would pay for it. Now if we can afford the gas to go up there we’ll be happy. The doctor I said I needed to lose some weight. If I could only watch my diet I could probably lose a few pounds. Our key verse in Sunday school was Romans 8:13, “If ye live after the flesh, ye shall die; but if ye through the spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.” I need to memorize that verse and watch what I eat.
Sis. Wanda Ray told us that her two grandchildren Michael Young and Kendra had been accepted at the College of the Ozarks in Hollister, MO. Kendra will be graduating from Ava Victory Academy this spring and we’re all proud of her and happy to hear they’re going to college. God provides for his children. We will miss them when they leave.
We want our children and grandchildren to grow up and be what God intended, but my how we miss them when they’re gone.
