Caney Church wk. 22

Feb. 16 – Caney Church came together Wednesday evening by singing.

We need the moisture and nitrogen, but we’re surely glad to see the snow leave.

Bro. Jim Lafferty took charge of the service. He took prayer requests. Sis. Lila Roberts led in prayer.

Jim read Isaiah 56. He spoke of the ethics and guide lines of having church. It should be God led, praising  and worshiping God. Only Christ can give us peace. Come be with us on Wednesday evening where we study and learn from the holy word of God. We should all hunger and thirst after the word especially Christians.

Sunday school began with singing. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone. Prayer requests were taken. Sis. Doris Lambeth led in prayer. Jack read John 13:3-16 for devotional.

After Sunday school happy anniversary was sung to Ethyl and Lorrinda Coulter. Our little ones sang for us led by Bro. Jeff Shipley. Testimonies were given by Jeff Shipley and Charlotte Roberts.

Praise and Worship began with singing. Charlotte sang a special, reports given by Melissa Harmon. Pastor Bill Austin spoke this morning from Matthew 13:44.

What is your treasure? Is it worldy or Heavenly? Seek Christ, gain a Heavenly treasure. Repent and ask Christ into your heart. He’ll be your treasure on earth.. This was a wonderful thought provoking message from the Lord.

Sunday evening service began with singing. Bro. Jeff welcomed everyone. Prayer requests were taken. Sis. Lorrinda Coulter led our hearts in prayer. Charlotte Roberts and Jim Lafferty both sang a special. Testimonies were given by Hi Lambeth, Janice Lafferty and Jim Lafferty. Bro. Jack Essary was our speaker Sunday evening. He brought the message from Luke 13:22-28 and 21:34-35. Beware of false prophets, they are everywhere. Read and study the holy word for yourself. You will stand alone before the Lord. It won’t cost you a dime to talk to Jesus. You won’t and don’t need a man to talk to Him for you. Wake up time is short. Let’s stand for Jesus.
