Tryouts will be held on Monday, March 7, for boys in grades 7-9 (13-15 years old) who want to play competitive baseball this summer.
This is a selected group, making up a 16-man roster.
These boys will be playing high school baseball rules. Games will be played against other towns, both home and away.
This league will begin in May and end in July. The local team will be coached by Kenneth James, assistant high school baseball coach at Ava High School.
The March 7 tryouts will be held at 7 p.m. at Kerr Field. In case of inclement weather the tryouts will be held indoors at the Ava Police Station.
Team participation fee is $60.
