With the snow and ice now only a memory, it was good to be able to gather at Highway House again on Thursday, Feb. 17, for our weekly meeting! Spring is “right around the corner” and we are gearing up for an eventful time ahead.
On Tuesday Feb. 22, we awarded January Terrific Kids at Ava Elementary at 2:30. That should have happened earlier in the month, but was rescheduled due to the bad weather.
At our meeting on Feb. 24, we are looking forward to seeing David Williams and February Citizens of the Month. Besides visiting with our guests, we will be discussing fundraisers and other things that have come up since last week’s meeting.
Glenda and Donna are looking forward to Mid Winter Conference this weekend to be held in Springfield. This is always a fun time to visit with Kiwanians we usually only see twice a year in February and August and also exchange information on what our clubs have been doing. There are also some interesting forums we plan to attend.
