If you didn’t enjoy a beautiful Lord’s Day this last Sunday, you certainly missed an enormous opportunity, it was the next best thingsto spring.
Our morning message was “Signs of Idolatry” from the text of II Kings 17:33. We explored several ways our modern society “worships” things, other than the true and living God. We can have “idols” without carved images, or shrines in our homes. If we have shrines in our hearts or minds, it is still idolatry.
Then our eveninggmessage was based on the text from II Chronicles 7:14, with references in several other Old Testament book where the children of Israel strayed from true worship. In each case they had to recognize their error, tear down the symbols of false worship and return to the only true God.
On the 26th of February we hope to take a van load of teens to a “True Love Waits” seminar at Lilly Ridge General Baptist Church in Gainesville. We have a few seats available if your interested in attending.
