Mt. Tabor Church News wk. 21

After missing a Sunday for bad weather, folks were glad to be back in service this morning. Most of our regulars were back, with the exception of one or two, hope everyone is back soon, we miss them. We have so many on our prayer list, continue to pray for these, the bereaved and the lost.

Brother Dennis read from Proverbs, speaking on the study of the word and training up a child in the way it should go.

Brother Don Bryan spoke Sunday night in the absence of our Pastor, reading Romans 12:9-21, telling us about the hypocrite and how a Christian should act.

Word was received of the death of a former Mt. Tabor resident, Juanita Winters. Juanita and husband, Miles, lived down in the Jackson Mill area, but she was living in Arkansas when she passed away, our sympathy to her family.

Mae Cox’s visitors this past week were Donna Nichols, Lauren and Hunter Hall. Mae enjoyed calls from Johnny, Thetis and Golda.

Pat Smith, Eleazar and Ronda Soto, Jan Jones and Stephie, were visitors with Martin and Mary Ann Hathcock.

Company for Bessie Hall the past few days was Jewell Elliott, Lisa Johnson and Jesse, Kay Hutchison and Carla Wilson, who brought some very pretty valentine flowers for Bessie. Jewell was taking Bessie to her doctor appointment in Springfield, Wednesday.

Kay Hutchison visited James and Evelyn Milam, Monday afternoon.

Jim and Maxine Lund visited Saturday evening with Harold and Kay Hutchison.

Visiting in the home of Tom and Jewell Elliott recently was James Elliott, Albert and Doris Elliott and Jim and Carla Hearod. Tom and Jewell visited Saturday afternoon at Gainesville Healthcare with Tom’s sister and brother-in-law, Bob and Pauline Ellison. Bob is very low at this time, our best to their family.
