Heart of the Ozarks wk. 21

Hello from our home to your home.

Residents are enjoying the sunny weather today. Our veterans had a nice surprise last week.

Kathleen Harnden’s family had a surprise birthday party Sunday afternoon for Ms. Kathleen.  A lot of her family and friends were here to help her celebrate her birthday.

The Leo’s Club from the Ava Lion’s Club made valentine boxes for our veterans. Handing out the boxes were Misty David, Aislinn Bates-Crouch and Ali Hall.

Larry Moore was here for Sunday school and Skyline Full Gospel Church was here for Sunday afternoon church service. We were sorry to hear that Bro. Bobby Page was out sick. Minnie Snoddy and Leland Lewis are members of Skyline Full Gospel.

Last week a lot of our regular volunteers and groups were out because of the weather. Everybody was missed. Karen Sellers was back on Friday for Nifty Nails. Karen had been visiting with family and friends.

The First Sonshine Group was here. The music is always good, and Edgar always gives a good devotional. Norma Stillings was here for piano music before Saturday Church. Bro. Tom Hawkins does Saturday morning church. Maxine Lirley called Pokenno in the afternoon. Residents having birthdays this month are Delma Swain, Norma Kennedy, Kathleen Harnden, Maxine Lirley, Bonnie Frye and Faye Humbyrd.

Our birthday party was cancelled and rescheduled for Monday. Ava Assembly of God brought the valentine cakes and everyone had a lovely time while Marlene Cobb played beautiful love music. Vester Harris was voted Queen and Harold Boch was voted King. Congratulations to our King and Queen. Staff helped served cake and punch to the guests and residents. They were each given a present and flowers. They will rule over our home until next year.

We would like to welcome Margie Johnson and Helen Messingers to our home.

God Bless You From Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center.
