“Infinite Potential” is the theme of National FFA Week 2011.
The Ava High School FFA Chapter will observe the national celebration Feb. 20-26 with a number of activities planned each day.
On Sunday, the FFA Chapter will attend church services at Highway Church of the Nazarene.
Monday is Boots and Bandanas Day. FFA members will be encouraged to wear their favorite boots and a bandana to school.
Tuesday is the Muddy Vehicle Contest and FFA Apparel Day. Awards will be presented for the FFA members who drive the dirtiest vehicles to school.
Wednesday will be Camo and Hunter Orange Day at Ava High School.
Thursday will be Farmer Day and Open Gym or Evening Activity.
Friday, Feb. 25 will feature the annual Businessman’s Breakfast and will also be the FFA Official Dress Day.
Ava High School FFA Advisors are Brent Lakey and Tiffany Kauffman.
This year’s chapter officers include President Courtney Levan, Vice President James Elijah, Secretary Katherine Moran, and Treasurer Augusta Rideeoutte.
Other chapter officers are Colton Hall, sentinel; Ashtin Stillings, historian; Abby Dean, reporter; and Rusty Rogers, parliamentarian.
