Arno News wk. 21

Bonnie Phipps said she didn’t go to church Sunday because of the ice in her driveway. Her driveway is on the north side of her house so this warm weather will get rid of that.

Mark came and brought me some more eggs last Monday and George and Violet Blakey came and got their eggs and brought me a brithday gift and card. My birthday wasn’t until the 13th, but with all the ice still on a person didn’t know what tomorrow would be like. Evelyn Bryan and Ruby Smith both came and got their eggs.

I received an early birthday card from my nephew, Frank Rosseau, and he said he wanted it to get to me by my birthday or before. I have sent a lot of my  birthday cards a few days ahead of time.

I think a lot of people stayed in last week because of the ice. I walked to my mailbox and back to my gas tank and I had to order some more gas because I didn’t think it would get me through the cold spell.

Mark and Mark Weston brought me some more eggs Saturday and that evening Monica Reemes came by after she got off from work and took me home with her and Sunday morning we went to church and then we went to Ozark where we met Michele Dunn and her three girls, Adalie, Elianna and Elia and we got in with them and we went to Springfield to the Juanita K. Hammons Hall where we saw the performance of the Beauty And The Beast. The cast was marvelous and I really enjoyed it. Michele took us to the Avanazare Italian Restaurant for supper before we came home.

I got home about eight or a little after that night then Monica went on home because she had to get up and go to work Monday morning.

When I got home there was a red rose in a vase with a card standing by it from Mark, Sherry, Kelsey and Mark Weston. I called them and thanked them for the flower and card and then I called James at home and Ellis at home. They had all called me too.

Lets keep those prayers going for our sick folks because there are lots out there.

My prayers and sympathy go out to everyone who have lost a loved one and there have been lots of them.

Lets keep our leaders and the men and women in the service and their families and the ones in training in our prayers.

This Monday morning I got a call before I got out of bed and it was from my son, Vernal, who said Happy Valentine’s Day and Happy Birthday one day late. He realized it was Valentine’s Day and he said that he just remembered that yesterday was Mom’s birthday so he had to call me from work then he said I have to get back to work, love you – bye.
