Ava High School will celebrate Hoopcoming coronation this Friday night during the boys’ Ava-Houston basketball game.
Coronation will conclude a week of activities which include special Spirit Days, centered around a Hollywood theme.
Hoopcoming candidates include queen candidates Kristen Hastings, Lindsey Armour and Kalynn Miller; and king candidates Cody Heriford, Trae Shelton and Austin Clayton.
Hoopcoming coronation will be held immediately following the junior varsity game, at approximately 7 p.m.
Following the varsity game, a Hoopcoming dance will be held in the high school cafeteria until 11:30 p.m.
Spirit Days being held in conjunction with Hoopcoming include:
Monday: Hollywood Duos. Students could portray any movie couple.
Tuesday: Movie Madness, representing any movie theme.
Wednesday: Soundtrack, depicting any artist or song.
Thursday: Red Carpet Day.
Friday: Blue and Gold Day.
