New Hope Freewill Baptist Church wk. 20

We know that the weather hasn’t been very permitting for travel but we are thankful for the ones who were able to be at services on Wednesday and Sunday, and we are thankful to those who were there with us in spirit unable to travel on the treacherous roads.

Wednesday night Bible study we had five attend. We were small in number but not in spirit. We sand some songs and praises and lifted our prayer requests up to the Lord. We had a good discussion and ended the service with a circle of prayer.

Sunday morning service we were blessed with 19 people attending service. We made our prayer requests known to the Lord and then dismissed to our Sunday school classes. The children, who are taught by Sis Shanna, learned about the angel who spoke to Mary about the unborn Christ, and the birth of John.

The adults studied the gospel of Matthew and the 24th Chapter.

After Sunday school, the kids sang songs for us and then had their penny march.  We all joined together and sang praises.

Bro. Scott delivered the morning message from Psalms 100: 1-5 and Eph. 4:27. “Come into God’s house with thanksgiving”.  Psalms 100:4, “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise; be thankful unto him, and bless his name.”

We had 17 attend evening services. We started out with prayer requests and singing hymns. Bro. Scott delivered the evening message from I Tim. 4:6-13, “Nourish yourself with the word.”

We want to invite all to come worship with us. Wednesday night Bible study is at 7 p.m.   Sunday school, 10 a.m. and morning worship, 11 a.m., evening service 7 p.m.
