Church of the Living God wk. 20

Winter, I hope is about over with.  I am ready for Spring.

Sunday, Feb. 6th we had a good lesson given by Bro. Steve.  Sister Linda and Max were on the road again.

Special prayer requests were for Wayne A., Bill B., McCoy family, Gil Welton’s daughter, Connie H., and the Edwina Schrock family.

Special music was enjoyed and given by our youth group, Dakota, Shantrelle, Emma, Teresa, Claressa.  Solo’s were by Dakota and Emma.  God bless our young people.

We also recognize our music talent, Bevy Moore on the piano and accordion, Connie Halloway, piano; Billy and Don Graham on guitars, thank you.

Morning message asked the question, “Do you display a crown of thorns love?”  Jesus did for us.  II Cor. 10:3,4.  We are always in a spiritual war with Satan but our weapons are mighty through our Lord and Savior, and being covered by His blood.  Always have your weapons ready.

Evening message was about love. The word love is so misused. We love our Lord and Savior.  We love our families.  We love our church family, but we like fresh baked chocolate chip cookies, little fuzzy puppies, and a tiny baby’s breath.

Jesus gave the ultimate love even though he was spat upon, a crown of thorns pressed onto His head, nails in His hands and feet, was even denied by his chosen men.  “That’s love.”  John 3:16, God’s valentine to us.

If you don’t have a home church, come see us at Corner of N.W. 6th Avenue and 7th Street.  Wednesday night bible study at 7 p.m., Sunday morning Sunday school 10 a.m., morning service 11 a.m.; evening 6 p.m.
