Mt. Tabor Church News wk. 19

It was a gloomy day on the outside, however, our congregation was glad to be in God’s house, ahead of the impending storm. Our prayer list continues to grow by leaps and bounds, some have been there for quite some time, new ones and so many bereaved families. Pray for each need.
Brother Dennis spoke on the world situation Sunday morning and what the Bible says about God’s chosen people.
We sang a belated happy birthday for Sandy Shumate, as well as a belated happy anniversary for Don and Evelyn Bryan. Glad to hear they are expecting their son home from the military in a short time.
We had the Irwin family sing for us Sunday night, which was very much enjoyed by everyone. Catrina and Corina sang some beautiful songs, also joined by Bro. Bion and their children, which was great. We had an over abundance of food, once again, we appreciate our ladies for it all.
Mae Cox is still staying close to home, hoping soon to be able to be back to church, weather permitting. Mae’s visitors have been Tom and Donna Nichols, Tim and Lindsey Hall, Lauren and Hunter, and her sister, Golda Dixon, Springfield. Mae appreciated having Tim do some home plumbing for her.
Jewell Elliott visited several times with Bessie Hall last week, taking care of her errands, etc. Tim Hall also stopped by to see his grandma, Sunday.
Martin and Mary Ann Hathcock attended a birthday party for Dakota Hathcock in the home of his parents, Brandon and Summar and sister Breeana. Others attending were Jim and Jo Hathcock, Jack and Peggy Armstrong, Mr. and Mrs. Josh Lafferty and children, as well as Summar’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Crosby.
Wes and Pat Smith visited Martin and Mary Ann this week, as did Jim Hathcock, after the storm sidelined his truck for a few days.
James Elliott visited with Tom and Jewell one evening last week.
Pat Lansdown was in Ava helping her mother, Myrl Cox, do her grocery shopping and errands. Paul Cox came to take his mother, Myrl, to the eye doctor, Tuesday. Pat visited with Paul while he was in Ava.
Pat Lansdown rode to Springfield with Doug Lansdown, Jadon and Kaylee, to the children’s dental checkup appointment.
Dylan Clements visited his grandparents, Harold and Kay Hutchison, Saturday afternoon. Sarah Claussen also visited later in the afternoon. Danny and Kim Clements came by on Monday morning for a short time.
