Hello from our home to your home. We hope everyone is liking snow because it sounds like we are going to get more of the beautiful white stuff.
We watched several movies this week. The smell of popcorn brings everyone down to the activity center. Games were played.
Cooking Club met several times in the last two weeks. Yorik the Wonder Dog visited with residents. Cooper the facility dog has kept the residents entertained. He loved to play hide and go seek.
Larry Moore is here every Sunday teaching Sunday school. Tom Hawkins teaches a Bible study and conducts Saturday morning church. Norma Stillings comes at 10:00 and plays the piano for the residents. The First Sonshine Group is always here. They are like the mail man, rain, sleet or snow will not keep them from coming to our home. Ava Assembly of God was here for the Sunday afternoon services. Redbank Church was here playing music and giving devotions to the residents and staff. Resident Council was postponed from last Tuesday to this coming Tuesday. Needless to say our trip has been cancelled because of bad weather.
The coming church schedule for this month is Skyline Full Gospel on February 13, Sandy Church on February 20 and LIFE Church on February 27.
During the snow the residents like watching for the snow plows. They would make their rounds and residents could be heard saying, “There goes another snow plow.”
Our hearts are saddened by the loss of Eddie Turner. We will miss him and his family. God bless you from Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center.
