Gentry Church News wk. 19

Opening prayer for the starting of the morning service was by Joie Welker.
The dismissal to Sunday school classes was by Narvil Tetrick. Our lesson was “Healed By His Bruises.” We were very humbled by this lesson as we studied the suffering of Jesus. Because of His wounds and death we have healing and salvation today. We have strayed and gone our selfish ways, but God took our sins and laid them upon our Lord Jesus on the cross.
Special song was by the Gentry Singers. We certainly want to extend a welcome to all our visitors we had Sunday. Sharon Ginder brought her daughter, Dee and family, Stephanie, Jackie and Cheyenne from the state of Georgia and her son, Anthony, from Republic, MO.
Pastor Hall’s morning sermon was from Isaiah 46:9-10 and Revelations 22:10. The book of Revelation is the book of prophecy and reveals things to come. Our future is in God’s hands. Our society wants to leave Jesus out of things, but there are “Four Simple Truths of Revelation, one – central person is Jesus Christ, two – clear purpose, three – time is at hand and four – prophesy is certain. We get our strength from the Bible and blessed are the ones who read and keep it in our hearts.
Some from Gentry attended the Fifth Sunday Singing at Goodhope General Baptist Church Sunday night.
