Sandy Church News wk. 18

Several from church attended the funeral of Sister Marie Long on Wednesday at Clinkingbeard’s Funeral Home.  Our prayers are with George, Pat and Keith.  We know what a vacancy is there when we lose our Mothers even when we know she is with Jesus.
Our devotional reading was from Hebrews 10:19-25.  This is a great lesson we need to learn.  Singing followed with prayer by Doyle Humbyrd, our Sunday School Superintendent.  As always, there is so much to pray about—lost loved ones, the sick and hurting, our nation, leaders, military and our Lord’s kingdom work.
Brad Siler prayed the offertory prayer as he and Stan Humbyrd received the Lord’s tithes and offerings with LeAnn Crum at the piano.
Several testimonies were shared about our Great God and Rhonda Dobbs sang.  Rhonda, you are a great blessing to our church family.  Your strength in the Lord is so amazing.  We truly enjoyed the presence of the Lord as LeaAnn led us in praise songs.  We closed with prayer time and were dismissed by Stan Humbyrd.
At 6 p.m., several prayer requests were given and Pastor Neal prayed.  We closed with singing. Special music was by Frances Humbyrd, LeaAnn and Erin Crum. The kids sang with help from Stan and Kim Humbyrd.  Andrew Dalton asked his daddy, Aaron, to help and, of course, he did.  Thank you, Daddy.
LeaAnn Crum, who is the Director of Options Pregnancy Clinic of Ava, shared about the ministry and gave statistics about abortions.  There are five facilities in Missouri and one in four women get an abortion.  The clinic needs counselors and board members.  We closed with special prayer for LeaAnn and the ministry.
Pastor Neal announced we are here Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday so this week we will meet on Monday as well.  Come and be with us.  You are welcome.
