What a truly wonderful day today is. God has given us another day to share His love with those we meet along our journey.
Donald preached for us Sunday about having a personal relationship with God. Sunday night he preached about God wanting to make us His jewel if we will let Him. He will keep working on us until He gets us polished up and shining, then we can be a light unto the world. When we get to heaven, we will be a jewel for God. We ended the service gathered around the altar and asked God to make each and every one of us His jewel.
I am here to tell you to make sure to use the talent God has given you. I have not been able to sing for the last two months. You will never know how much I have missed it. Sunday night I was finally able to sing again with my singing partner, Bud. I know my voice is still a little raspy, but it felt so good to be singing songs for my Lord at church. So I am here to tell you if God gave you the talent to teach, use that talent for God. If your talent is an instrument use that talent for God. You will be truly blessed.
Please pray for Dennis Downs. He needs a healing touch from God. Also pray for his family. You know when a family member hurts so does the rest of the family. God bless you, Dennis and Jenny.
Tina Johnson said she got bored snowed in with her kids Thursday so Friday she had to make sure she got out snow or no snow. Tammy Gunter and Wanda Hutchinson went to see Randy Lee. Randy is another one of our friends that could use our prayers. Virginia Hampton said they fixed dinner for Bud and Francis one night and they had also taken the girls, Sarah and Abby, out for their birthday dinner.
I guess my week was boring. We didn’t do much. I did play with my grandkids Saturday, Courtney; Rilee and Logan.
On the radio the other day someone said spring is really just around the corner. I suppose we are halfway through winter. Thanks to Donald, none of the men in our church may get any biscuits for the rest of this winter, unless of course they bake them. Some how he keeps getting all the men in trouble. I wonder if that’s on purpose?
For everyone else out there, have some biscuits and gravy for Roger, would you?
Have a wonderful week. Go to church this weekend looking to share a blessing.
