Sandy Church wk. 17

Several prayer requests were given for sick.  Among those were Marie Long, Zella Menzies, Joe Mason, Lonnie Combs, Weldon Sanders, lost people, hurting people, our nation, leaders and military.  Danny Johnson prayed this prayer.
Happy birthday was sung to Jerry Pitts.  We are glad to have Jerry and Debbie with us in our church family.  Testimonies were shared and praises were given about our Good Lord.
The offertory prayer was prayed by Brad Siler as he and Stan Humbyrd, our deacons, received our Lord’s tithes and offerings.  Elane Crum was at the piano.
Pastor Neal greeted each one with a “good morning”.  He shared a thank you letter from Sherri Evans for all the Christmas goodies.  She said they were at the hospital during Christmas with a little 9 year-old girl who along with her brother were sent to their home and will be with them about 3 years.  Pastor Neal prayed and read Luke 2.  The birth of Jesus Christ and how they shepherds heard, received and went with haste to the baby.  How many times have we heard and did not receive and act with haste to witness about this child?  Are we glorifying and praising God?  If we do not, church, who will?
LeaAnn went to Redbank Church to share about Options Pregnancy Clinic.
At 6 p.m., Peggy Miller prayed our prayer followed by singing.  Testimonies were shared about how our Dear Lord is working among us.  Special music was done by LeaAnn and Erin Crum and Danny Johnson.
Pastor Neal read in Luke 2 concerning Anna, the prophetess in the temple, serving God with fasting and prayers night and day.  He also read Isaiah 58, the promises given to those who fast and pray.
Each Tuesday is special prayer meeting at 7 p.m. and Wednesday is Bible Study at 7 p.m.  Come and worship with us.  You are welcome.
