I will try to write what I know of the news from our community.
Almost all were out to church Sunday and we were thankful and blessed by being together in worship of our Savior, Jesus Christ and to study the scriptures. Danny did a good job of instruction and in the raising of question for discussion. It is good when everyone feels free to express and explore a question and even though we may not always see things a like, we respect one another’s viewpoints and understand that the Lord reveals things to each of us if we study and pray and seek to learn. The Lord blesses everyone in each endeavor and we have those who are brave in stepping out for Jesus. We certainly appreciate Brian for leading the service and for each who help in this sad time when we realize how much we depended upon Mark. I think we did not realize that we depended on Mark to shoulder everyone’s burdens and to pray and be there every time we called him. He taught, encouraged, scolded in Mark’s wonderful way and each time we came away with a closer walk with God. We are striving to get that happy feeling again and to overcome.
Joseph Tabor, Devon Degase, with their teacher, Burr, blessed us Sunday with a guitar and song special. They are very good and talented with their musical instruments, but a little reluctant with their voices. We are happy they are using their talent for Jesus.
My kids have been with me for Sunday dinner the past two Sundays, also my daughter-in-law, and some of my grandchildren. We missed others who were occupied with other activities. Jessica came in the afternoon and Ruth’s daughter, Amber and family came for dinner.
Charlie visited Sunday evening. Chris Hodge a daughter and her son, Clint, had visited him Saturday night.
Mike Jones had surgery Monday and he did well. Charlie got a call just when he came through it and so that is all I know. Lucy is there with him and they covet your prayers.
May we appreciate one another more and strive to be in accord in love and to express our love and we must learn to wait upon the Lord. He works everything out if we ask and have patience and compassion one for another.
