Sunday school opened with a good morning from Bro. Paul who was filling in for Bro. Marshall. We had many prayer requests for the sick, the lost, our brothers and sisters in Christ, our church and each other. Sister Ulla led in prayer. We sang a good hymn for Jesus. Our class leader today was Sister Lee. She read from Acts 8:26-40 and chapter 9:1-8. We had some class discussion. You did a good job, Sister Lee. Our little angel collected the Coins for Christ.
We sang some good hymns for the Lord. The choir was in good voice. Sister Alice said a blessing for the offering. We had another good morning from Bro. Paul. He then asked for the specials. Those doing specials were Sister Juanita, Sister Peggy, Sister Sharon and Sister Patsy. We had more prayer requests.
Bro. Paul read scripture from the 23rd Psalm verses 1-6. He then prayed and gave us a great message from God. We closed with a song and prayer by Sister Naomi.
Our evening service began with our prayer circle. We had many prayer requests. Bro. Mike Jones will be having surgery Monday, January 17 in St. Louis. Sister Dorothy Miller will be having surgery Wednesday, January 19. There are so many in the hospitals, nursing homes and the lost that we need to pray for. Bro. Marvin led in prayer.
We sang some good hymns and it was time for some specials. Those doing specials were Sister Peggy and Bro. Marvin.
Bro. Marvin was our speaker for the evening. He read from Romans 8:3 and I Samuel 30:6-19. God gave him a good message for us. We had a song and closed with prayer by Sister Juanita.
We will be having our Fourth Saturday Night Singing, January 22 at 7:00 p.m. Come join in. Bring your songs and instruments and get a blessing.
There will be dinner Sunday following the morning services.
