Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will conduct a blood drive in Ava on Tuesday, Jan. 25, at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center.
The blood drive will be conducted from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Heart of the Ozarks is located at 2004 Crestview Street in south Ava.
CBCO has issued a Code Yellow alert for Type A Negative and Type O Negative blood. There is less than a two-day supply of these blood types on the hospital shelves.
It takes over 275 donations per day to meet the needs of the 37 area hospitals that use CBCO products.
To donate blood you must weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health. You will be required to show ID.
CBCO will conduct a blood drive on Wednesday, Jan. 26, at Dora High School in Ozark County. That blood drive will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Dora High School is located on Highway 181.
