The Ava Bears are picked to win the Conway boys’ basketball tournament that begins next week.
The Bears are seeded first among the eight teams on the bracket, and will play Conway JV in first-round action on Monday, Jan. 24.
Strafford is ranked second in the tournament, followed by Miller, Stoutland, Conway, Springfield Catholic, Laquey and the junior varsity team from Conway.
With a win on Monday night, the Bears would face the winner of the Stoutland vs. Conway game at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 27. Tournament finals will be played on Saturday night, Jan. 29.
