It has been a busy couple of weeks. The weather remains cold and we just really want to start gardening. It will be fun to look at seed catalogs and plan for spring.
We have finished the book “The Black Kettle Ride” and are starting a new book titled “Al Capone Does My Shirts.” Our residents love the daily reading time.
The Legacy Books started this month. The residents answer a question on their family’s history and it is written in the books. Each week a question is posed and the book completed for that week. This will continue this year.
Exercise has resumed after the holidays. Walking the halls in a group and playing basketball have been the activity of choice. It is too cold to walk outside.
Favorite games include Yahtzee and Parcheesi. The nail care spa is always well attended.
Traveling Strings came to entertain us with music. Weather does not stop them from playing great gospel music.
We are staying warm and enjoying hot cocoa. We hope you are warm and well during this month of winters chill.
