The 2011 Ava High School Alumni Banquet will be held Saturday, May 7, at the high school gymnasium. The banquet will begin at 6 p.m.
According to Ray Cunningham, 2011 Alumni Banquet president, ticket cost will remain at $12 in advance and $15 at the door. No advance tickets will be sold after 12 noon on Monday, May 2.
Tickets will be available at Ava Drug, Town and Country Bank, and the Douglas County Herald Office.

The class of 1961 will be celebrating their 50th class reunion at 2 p.m. May 7 at the First Southern Baptist Church fellowship hall, located at 732 NW 3rd Ave., in Ava.
