Bob and Nora Edwards enjoyed having their family with them on Christmas Eve. Those spending the day for dinner and gift exchange were Toby and Jacinda Sheppard, Shelden and Kendra Walker, Miranda Milligan, Shawn, Alexis and Braxton Swearengin. On Christmas day, the same ones enjoyed spending the afternoon in the home of Stasey and Ruth Sheppard in Willow Springs for dinner and gift exchange, also, there were Cody, Trenton and Taylor Sheppard and Ruth’s brother. On Sunday, Nora, Toby, Jacinda, Dallee, Shelden and Kendra drove to Mosby, MO. where over fifty relatives gathered at the city hall for an afternoon of eating, visiting and gift exchange. They then spent until Tuesday evening in the home of Nora’s sister, Betty Cazzell of Mosby, MO. While there they visited family and friends and shopped in the Excelsior Springs and Kansas City area. On New Year’s Eve, Bob and Nora Edwards joined family and friends at the home of Toby and Jacinda Sheppard for a New Year’s Eve party. Nora appreciates God for the blessing of Jesus, family and friends in her life.
Lee Williams is home and doing lots better after having six stints put in the past two weeks.
Donna Bannister and I visited with Stacie, Mahayla and Miley Hamby on Friday afternoon.
Friday night Jack, Barb and Miracle Breshears, Nora Hunsaker and Lee Williams had supper with us. I made homemade pizzas. We enjoyed a movie then set off fireworks at midnight.
On Saturday, Delmar and I drove to Nixa where we visited with Rusty, Becky, Hailey and Maeson Carter. We then drove to Mansfield where we visited with Keith and Donna Bannister. We watched a couple of shows with them and had a snack.
I talked to Aunt Violet and Uncle Hugh Morris. They are doing better. Uncle Hugh had fallen, but didn’t break anything. We are sure thankful for that.
I heard through the grapevine that my cousin’s wife, Donna Morris, was sick. I hope she is feeling better by now.
I am really glad to be reading the welcome writings by River Stillwood. Please keep them coming, they are so uplifting.
My brother and sister-in-law, Vern and Kathleen Deatherage, made a trip to Selma, Oklahoma, to spend Christmas with their son, Noah Deatherage and other friends. They made the trip there and back safely.
We are sorry to hear that our neighbor, Mike Huff, has been in the hospital and having surgery. Get well soon, Mike.
Until next week, remember that we have a new year to change and try to be a better person. Happy New Year to you all!
