A good Tuesday morning to all our readers. We hope everyone had a safe and happy weekend and the weather is somewhat warmer. The wind is not as gusty as the weekend before.
We send get-well wishes to the sick, the ones in the hospitals and the nursing homes.
Our sympathy to all who have lost a loved one. May God bless you in your time of sorrow. Our thoughts are with you.
We say happy birthday to all the people who have a big day at this time. We hope you have a great day with many more to come.
This news from the desk of Lois Graham. Lois went with her nephew and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Randall Graham, to her niece and husband’s home, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Garrison, for their Christmas dinner. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Dustin Thompkins, Alyssa of Broken Arrow, OK., Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Graham, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Garrison and Addison and Allison. We had lots of food and lots of gifts. Lois enjoyed seeing all three babies.
This news from the desk of Emmalyn and Ellis Stephens. Rashelle Hammons and Alyssa came Friday, Dec. 17th to help grandma Emmalyn make candy. Connie Burris and Cooper stopped by to sample the candy. It seems like Christmas gets close together every year. Mike and Connie Burris and Charlotte Koop all stopped by to check on us when it was so cold. We are so thankful for our children. May every one have a merry and blessed Christmas.
On Monday we had our game day with Connie Burris from Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare. Our visitors who came with her were Willene Adams, Maxine Lirley and Laura Lansdown. A good time was had by all. We had seven residents who attended. Connie does a good job of keeping us on our toes. We always look forward to game day. Your reporter had a great day on Saturday. I “Norma” went to Branson with Jerry Lee and Kim Watkins. We went to the giant toy museum and what a place that was. Toys that brought back lots of memories, the 1930’s rubber cars and trucks, the medal spinning tops. What fun we had with them in days gone by. From the toy shop we went to Silver Dollar City to see the living nativity scene. What a wonderful program to see. It was great. I appreciate the children for a wonderful afternoon.
I appreciate the Herald for their gift and a special appreciation to the Ava Drug Store and their employees for our fruit baskets that was delivered on Thursday, Dec. 16. Our hats are off to you and to everyone for their cards and gifts.
I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Jesus is the reason for the season.
