A good Tuesday morning to all our readers. We hope everyone had a safe and warm weekend as the wind was strong and cold.
I didn’t get to go to church as the truck would not start and it was too cold to walk.
We want to give a special appreciation to several people. We appreciate The Dogwood Quilting Club for our gifts and to the ladies that helped Connie serve our Christmas dinner. We appreciate Ava Place for the turkey casserole for our dinner and to the Ava Victory Academy for the Christmas carols that they sang for us. It was great. Also we appreciate Connie and Emmalyn for the many hours that were spent putting our dinner together. Our hats are off to them. There were 36 who signed the guest book and six of them were our guests. A great time was had by all. That all took place last Thursday on the 9th. Also we appreciate Joe who came over Sunday and fixed our flag for us. We appreciate you, Joe.
We want to send get well wishes to all the sick, the ones in the hospitals and the nursing homes.
Our sympathy to all who have lost loved ones. May God bless you in your time of sorrow. Our thoughts are with you.
A happy birthday wish to all who have a big day at this time. May you have a great day with many more to come.
My grandson, Jacob Watkins is three today. We wish him a great day.
This news from the desk of Lois Graham. Brenda Garrison came and visited Lois Sunday morning and then Sunday evening Shirley Riley came. We appreciate Shirley for the goodies you brought from the Black Oak Church.
I didn’t have nerve enough to go to church.
There are Christmas cards in the activity room for our residents in their mailboxes.
We hope everyone has a good week. The weather doesn’t sound very good for the rest of the week. Take care and stay warm.
Jesus is the reason for the season.
