Lowell Johnson is still staying with his parents, Tom and Jewell Johnson, to help out for a time. Tom and Jewell have had lots of phone calls and visits. Lenora Burton, Gary Streight, Paul Welch, Raymond and Naida Haden, and Nora Mae Edwards all have visited in the last week. Larry Johnson and Kent Johnson come regularly. Shirley Johnson keeps sending food.
Billy Fletcher had lunch with other members of his Sunday school class at Subway after church, Sunday.
Sam Frye visited with Palmer Pellham, Saturday. Four car loads of Palmer’s Mississippi kids had come to visit. Sam said that Palmer is doing great. Sam had called his sisters in the Rockford, Illinois area. They had a big snow. Sam also talked with his son, Rod Frye, in Illinois. They made plans for Christmas. Sam said that they had an excellent Cantata at church Sunday morning and the Kids Program that evening. He said that they had a big crowd at each service.
Norma Lea Stillings got another phone call wishing her a happy birthday last week. Her cousin, Janice Anderson, made the call so that her mother, Lois Fitzgerald, could talk with Norma. Lois is in a nursing home in the Bettendorf, Iowa area.
Norma Jean Stillings attended the luncheon meeting of the Retired Teachers Association, Tuesday and attended a Support the Handicapped Meeting, that evening. Norma and her friend Bobbye Priddy attended the Christmas Classical Concert at the First Baptist Church, Saturday afternoon. Norma and other Hospice Volunteers made special visits to play and sing Christmas songs to residents at the Heart of the Ozarks and Ava Place, Monday morning.
