Donald Fletcher of Fair Grove visited with his brother, Billy Fletcher, Saturday morning before the funeral service of their Uncle Howard McGill.
Billy Fletcher and Carol Riggs attended the Nimble Fingers Quilting Club’s Christmas Party at the Squires Community Center, Saturday evening. Billy’s Aunt Jean Daugherty visited with him, Sunday.
Tom Johnson said that he was doing “fair” when he answered the phone this week. Tom and Jewell’s son, Lowell Johnson, of Springfield is staying with them at this time. Freeda Holt and Janice Keith have visited and the Ava family has been helping all along. Larry and Kent have been there different times. Shirley Johnson sends food. Tom and Jewell are blessed by such a good family and the family has been blessed to have Tom and Jewell.
Norma Stillings entertained the Nubbin Ridge Homemakers Club in her home, Thursday. They put together a Christmas dinner, played games, and exchanged gifts. Norma made visits to Rocky Ridge in Mansfield and Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center in Ava to visit residents and play the piano. She also attended the University Extension Council Annual Christmas Dinner, Friday evening and rode in the Christmas Parade Saturday. Then there was another dinner at church, Sunday. There is a lot of good food and good fellowship to be enjoyed in December. Norma plans to do a fitness program again in 2011 so that she can keep up her strength and deal with the extra calories that have been consumed.
Norma Lea Stillings received a phone call, Monday, from her cousins, Bill and Dorothy June (Stillings) Gardner of Memphis, Tennessee. They had called to wish her a happy birthday. Bill and Dorothy are looking forward to a new great-grand baby soon.
