Mt. Tabor Church – wk. 14

Our church continues to have many folks suffering with the “bug”, as well as other ailments, please pray for each of these. We are glad to hear reports of those who are on the mend after serious health problems, thankful for each of these. Mae Cox had the misfortune of falling up her basement stairs, breaking her hand and having stitches, on Christmas day. She says she is doing “okay”. Mae’s visitors during the recent holidays were Tom and Donna Nichols, Tom’s daughter, Mary Kay and husband, Roger and their children, from the Columbia area, Lisa Johnson, Bill and Debbie Willis.
Visitors with Bessie Hall over the past several days were Carla Wilson, Judy Haden, Jewell Elliott, Bonita Winingham and J.C. Hall. Bessie hosted her usual Christmas Eve get-together for her family. Those attending were Tom and Jewell Elliott, J.C. Hall and Vicky Burnett, Floyd and Bonita Winingham, Lisa Johnson, James and Tammy Elliott and Ashley, Tim and Lindsey Hall, Lauren and Hunter, Mr. and Mrs. Shaun Elliott, MaKayla and Logan.
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Elliott were hosts for their family gathering on Thursday evening in their home. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Elliott and Caitlin, Mr. and Mrs. James Elliott and Ashley, Joseph and Amanda Elliott, Shaun and LeAnna Elliott, MaKayla and Logan. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Winingham were also here visiting from Louisville, NE. and they, along with Tom and Jewell, visited in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Elliott and Caitlin, Sunday evening. The Wininghams returned to their home Monday morning.
MaKayla and Logan Elliott spent Sunday night with Tom and Jewell and Bonita and Floyd.
Mr. and Mrs. Martin Hathcock enjoyed Christmas day with Wes and Pat Smith, their daughters and grandchildren. Eleazar Soto came to pick them up Sunday to take them to their Nixa home to join daughter, Ronda, their sons and grandchildren for another Christmas celebration.
Ronnie and Pat Lansdown hosted their usual Christmas Eve celebration in their home. Those joining them were Mr. and Mrs. Patrick O’Neal, Mr. and Mrs. David Guerin and Bradlynn, Mr. and Mrs. Doug Lansdown, Jadon and Kayley. Later, this group joined the Lansdown family for their gathering.
Those visiting Myrl Cox on Christmas day were Jeanne Cox, Pat Lansdown, Jill O’Neal, Joy Davis and children, Jessie, Jenna and Buster, Ronnie Jennings, Catie Patterson and friend, Nick. Paul Cox was unable to be with his family due to a bout with the shingles, our best to him.
Imogene Madewell saw her eye doctor this week and is making progress, good news. Imogene and Clifford enjoyed having Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Madewell with them Christmas day.
Don and Evelyn Bryan had several visitors during the holidays, family from Florida, Kansas City and Ozark.
Joining Harold and Kay Hutchison on Christmas day were Jeff and Kristy Tackett and Steven. They were joined late in the evening by Mr. and Mrs. Harlin Hutchison, Seth, Alic and Amy, who spent the night.  The Tacketts returned home so Jeff could fly out to TX. the next day.
Spending Sunday with the  Hutchisons were Mr. and Mrs. Gary Mishler, Kim Clements, Morgan and Dylan, and the Hutchisons from West Plains. Gary and Stephanie returned to their Carl Junction home Monday evening.
Martin Hathcock visited Harold and Kay Hutchison Tuesday evening. Martin and Don Beason were doing some much needed work on our cemetery flag pole.
