Mt. Tabor Church News – wk. 13

Mt. Tabor Church had a wonderful time in our service and Christmas program Sunday morning. It was originally to be held Friday night, however, due to families being out of town and illness, we changed our plans. We were blessed to have a great group with several visitors. We appreciate everyone’s efforts in proclaiming the Christmas message. The children were especially good!
The congregation sang “Happy Birthday” to Jim Hearod, one of our guests, do come again.
Brother Dennis has had a bout with laryngitis, so Brother Don Bryan graciously agreed to fill in Sunday evening with Evelyn’s help. Don did a “remembering other Christmases candlelight service, quite enjoyable and funny, too.
The church provided treats to all who came Sunday.
Mae Cox attended the 65th wedding anniversary celebration for Louis and Josephine Peebles, along with Donna Nichols. Mae says she will soon be back in Sunday school and church, we miss her.
Martin Hathcock visited Harold and Kay Hutchison, Monday. Martin also went by to visit Norman Duckworth one day.
Tom and Jewell Elliott visited in the home of Tom’s niece and husband, Carla and Jim Hearod of the Arno community, Sunday for lunch and also birthday cake in honor of Jim’s birthday. Albert and Doris Elliott were guests in their daughter’s home, as well.
Dylan and Morgan Clements spent Saturday night with Harold and Kay Hutchison.
Don and Evelyn Bryan have been very busy this week. They have visited everyone from the church spreading good wishes and lots of home baked goodies as well. We know everyone appreciates their thoughtfulness.
