The Ava High School junior-varsity Bears will be competing in the Fair Grove J.V. Basketball Tournament next week.
The tournament, which will be played in a “round robin” format, begins on Wednesday, Jan. 12 with the Bears facing Pleasant Hope at 6 p.m.
The Bears will then play Thursday, Jan. 13 at 6 p.m. against the host team, followed by a game on Saturday, Jan. 15 against Buffalo at 10 a.m.
Admission price is $3 for adults and $1 for students.
Tournament winner will be decided by win-loss record. If two teams are tied, they will compete in a head-to-head game to determine the tournament champion.
Fair Grove High School is located at 132 N. Main Street in Fair Grove, which is north of Springfield along U.S. 65.
