Merry Christmas to each and everyone. What a wonderful time to give gifts to those you love. Remember that gifts don’t have to cost a lot of money. The best gift you can give someone is to tell them about the reason we celebrate this joyous season. Tell them that God loved us so much that He gave us the gift of His son, Jesus. There is no greater love than that. Donald preached Sunday that we need to quit leaving Christ out of Christmas. Without Christ there would be no Christmas.
Our crowd was down a little. I’m sure some were out because of the cold weather. Jon and Lindsey Mitchell were caught out on the Branson Belle, not exactly where I would want to be when the temperature got down that cold. I also heard that Tom and Virginia had their well house catch on fire during the night. What a cold day to have to be out working trying to get water and a new building put up.
We had some of the guys and Esther put our stage up Sunday after church. Things are getting in place for our program Saturday night. It starts at 7:00. Hope to see you there.
Roger and I went to Highlonesome Saturday night and saw their program. It sure was a blessing to watch my grandkids doing different parts in the nativity scene. We also got to visit with people we hadn’t seen in a while.
We have several that are still on our prayer list: Little Wyatt, Faye Pruiett and Jackie Nelson asked for prayer for some of her family. We have some young people newly saved that still need our prayers. Larry Hutchinson has been sick. I’m sure the list could go on and on, but God knows all our needs. Roger has even decided he’s ready for me to get my voice back. I didn’t think he would ever admit that. He would like to hear me talk and sing again. It really is the season for miracles.
For your miracle this Christmas season gather with friends and family and share all the love and joy that the true spirit of Christmas is meant to bring out in all of us.
Merry, merry Christmas!
