Dogwood Ramblings – wk. 12

Carol Boeddeker-Genet  reports that it was 12 deg. on Dogwood Hill Sunday morning with the snow blowing horizontally.  I stayed home as am still recuperating from upper respiratory gunk, and the church service was without organ/piano music.  However, I made it in to the clinic appointment Monday morning in five-degree weather (no nasty wind) for a blood draw.  Brrrrr!
Randy Boeddeker made it here from Wyoming on Monday morning.  He said the only problem roads were in Wyoming.  He and niece Regina have been out already checking on cattle and picking up trash from the rented field.  Ron Boeddeker called from Alaska on Saturday saying the high there was 2 deg. Both he and little Reanna have some upper respiratory thing.  Seems that is everywhere.
Met Wanda Dugan and Pam Aldrich in Ava and had a short visit.  Saturday there was a cookie exchange party at the home of Tina Chriss.  Many people attended to enjoy the exchange, the snack buffet and to play some fun games.  During the games it became a bit noisy from all the laughing.  Aryan Bohn and my great grandson Justin had a great time playing together.
Susan Sinclair took her mother to an appointment in St. Louis and hopefully she will have some news for us next week.  Jamey Herd let me know that the weather took a toll on church attendance and she had nothing to report.
Let us keep Christ in Christmas as we celebrate his birth.  May you be well and safe.
