Church of the Living God wk. 15

The Wednesday night Bible study meets at 7:00 p.m. Our teacher is Steve Wilkerson. Steve had some questions for us Wednesday evening. He asked us if we were hungry? Psalms 42:2, my heart panteth after God, my soul thirsteth for God. Water is an absolute necessity for the whole human race, with out living water a person’s soul will dry up. He asked us, how do we get there? Seek – Jeremiah 29:13 and ye shall seek me and find me. Matthew 7:7 also says, ask and it shall be given, seek and ye shall find. We need to read God’s word, Psalm 34:1, I will bless the Lord at all times, His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
Sunday morning, January 1, 2011 – a wonderous New Year to all. We had 36 in attendance. Specials songs were performed by Linda and Bevy.
The morning message was from II Timothy 3:16. All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine for reproof for correction for instruction in righteousness.
Sunday evening message was from Matthew 4. Read again how Satan tempted Jesus, if the situation were reversed, what would the outcome have been. We need to be empowered. We need the word hidden deep in our hearts to use when Satan and temptations come upon us. Special singing was performed by Dakota and Gary, Linda, Lena and Bernie.
Wayne and Donna Applequist’s grandson, Aaron, is doing very well. We appreciate the Lord and all the prayers. His only problems are a broken nose, which is now fixed and some cuts and bruises.
Saturday morning, January 8 will be our Ladies Prayer Group time.
Pastor Gary and Bevy’s granddaughters, Raylee and Caydee, spent the night with them Friday.
Pastor Gary and Bevy visited with Delmar and Margaret Rosseau New Years evening.
Our church is located at the corner of N.W. 6th Ave. and 7th St. The pastor is Gary Moore and Bevy in his right hand. For more information or a ride call 683-6547 or 683-2254.
