January 2 – The first service of 2011 at Caney began with singing. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone. Prayer requests were taken. Bro. Jeff Shipley led our hearts in prayer. Jack read Psalms 106:40-48 for our devotion.
After Sunday school happy birthday was sung to Melba Austin, Tracy Shipley and Ramanda Todd. God bless them. Our little ones sang some songs and were led by Sis. Tracy Shipley. What a joy and blessing they are. Testimonies were given by Jeff Shipley and Laurena Mitchell.
Praise and Worship began with singing. Those singing specials were Charlotte Roberts, Maddie and Gracie Shipley, Aspen Isaacs, Melissa Harmon and Laurena Mitchell. Pastor Bill Austin brought the morning message from Ephesians 6:10-20. We should know the word of God so we can stand against the evil in this world. Lets all try to win at least one to the Lord this year. Let others see Christ in you.
January 9 – Sunday school opened with singing. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone. Prayer requests were taken. Sis. Elsie Combs led our hearts in prayer. We have many that are sick in our church family. Help us pray. Jack read Exodus 15:11-18 for our devotion.
After Sunday school, testimonies were given by Janice Lafferty, Jeff Shipley and Hi Lambeth.
Praise and Worship began with singing. Charlotte Roberts sang a special. Pastor Bill spoke from John 4:1-15. Lets help others find the Lord. God knows our weakness, but He will give us strength we need to do His will. Lets tell others the story of Christ that they too can have living water for their own.
Sunday evening began with singing. Bro. Jeff Shipley welcomed everyone. Sis. Janice Lafferty led in prayer. Testimonies were given by Jim Lafferty, Jack Essary, Janice Lafferty and Lila Roberts. Bro. Bill spoke Sunday evening from Acts 18:1-3, II Peter 1:3-8. He talked about tents and their purpose then compared us to tents. We are skin tents with purpose. We need to let our light shine from out of our skin tent.
