December 22 – Caney Church came together Wednesday evening by singing. Bro. Hi Lambeth was our leader this week. He opened service by taking prayer requests. Bro. Jeff Shipley led in prayer. Bro. Hi read Jeremiah 36:1-10, 14-19 and 37:1-5. God’s word will not be destroyed. His words are true. What He says, He will do. We must obey. We will face judgment.
Sunday school opened with singing. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone. Prayer requests were given. Sis. Janice Lafferty led in prayer. Jack read Isaiah 63:7-14 for our devotion. After Sunday school testimonies were given by Jim Lafferty, Charlotte Roberts and Laurena Mitchell.
Praise and Worship was Because He Lives. Those singing specials were Melissa Harmon, Jimmy Lafferty and Jim Lafferty. Pastor Bill Austin spoke this morning. He read a piece called “The Church Walking With The World.” It is very true today, sometimes we can’t tell them apart. He read Joshua 3:4, Philippians 3:10-14. The church needs to stand and do God’s word. Yes it will be peculiar to the world to follow God’s word. We will be blessed.
