Black Oak Church wk. 16

“Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else,” Isaiah 45:2.
Brother Roy read Exodus 15:11-18 for the devotion after the singing by the congregation.
Please pray for Weldon Sanders, Mike Jones, Jacki Lafferty, Rick Bailey, Gene and Rheba Pool, Louise and family, Betty and family, Chris, Travis Coatney, Young family, Arizona shooting victims, unsaved, unspoken, Black Oak Church, country, leaders, bereaved, military men and women and Ray Carson.
Pastor David sang then preached from Matthew 6:19-21. Are we living for treasure or trash? Material things don’t mean the same to everyone. Something we might have is worthless to someone else and we won’t take any of it with us when we die. It is much more important to lay up treasures in heaven. We do that by giving our soul to God, helping others find God, and being faithful servants.
Sunday evening worship began with singing. Kerry and Dana sang two specials then Pastor David sang. We had good testimonies in both services. Pastor David preached from Hebrews 11:5-6. We need to walk by faith with God like Enoch did. In times of trouble with physical health, spiritual trials, economic troubles, domestic problems and personal aloneness we need to walk with Him. We must know Him and have a personal relationship with Him. He is our Spiritual Father and wants the very best for us. We must not get caught up in the worldly fads and just live holy unto God.
Happy January birthdays to Pastor David, Glenn and Louise Simpson.
May God bless you always.
